The Portuguese Court of Accounts' Library is specialised in the fields of Public Finances and Public Administration, including documentation related to external financial control, namely produced and issued by other foreign relevant bodies.

​You are invited to search our online catalogue, choosing the language of your preference.

​External users to the Court of Auditors have access to the services listed below: 

  • Reference – guidance in finding the needed information and help in the research or /recovering information in the bibliographic catalogue, databases and other information available on the internet;
  • Inhouse reading – Unrestricted Access to the available books
  • Borrowing between libraries – borrowing to third parties is only possible between libraries and upon favourable decision by the Court of Auditors Library and Documentation Department. There's a borrowing limit of three books at a time, in each seven days. To submit a request, fill the form on the website and send it by email to dadi@tcontas.pt​

​​By safeguarding and making accessible its documental collection, the Portuguese Court of Auditors allows external users to consult its books. 

To this end, the following services are available:

  • Research in the database and descriptive information
  • Answer to external requests
  • Inhouse reading
  • Availability of bibliographic resources to support research and development
  • Document reproduction (hardcopy and digital support)​

All issues and inquires related to the Historical Archive – information requests, access and reproduction of the already digitalised documentation – should be addressed by email to dadi@tcontas.pt​

​Th
e Court of Auditors' documental collection was transferred to Torre do Tombo National Archive this year (2024), under an agreement with the Direção-Geral do Livro, dos Arquivos e das Bibliotecas (Directorate-General for Books, Archives and Libraries).
